In Palo Alto, our team is led by Karin Schlanger, Director of the Brief Therapy Center and the only direct disciple of the original creators of the Problem-Solving Brief Therapy model at the Mental Reseach Institute, no longer in existence as a training institution. . Karin learned the approach by working side by side with John Weakland, Dick Fisch, and Paul Watzlawick since the early 1980s. She has devoted her career to refining, teaching, and expanding the model locally and across the globe.
